First I get a drink created for me by Jeremy, now I have jewelry created for me, sorta! As I mentioned in December, my good friend Tamara started making gorgeous jewelry from vintage pieces while naming the line after our late friend. With that The Clasp of Isis was born and I am hooked! I was so excited when she started making earrings last month that she sent me the “Forrest Queen” earrings. I asked her to custom make me a bracelet to match an awesome necklace I bought from her. She then showed me her latest creation (above), and asked for help in naming it. Upon seeing it, I fell in love and jokingly suggested she name it Sybil. Ha! It will be arriving in my mail box today along with the custom bracelet, necklace, and silver version of the the Forrest Queen earrings. I could not be any more excited, especially to see the gold stamp! Thankfully the bracelet is not named “The Angry Haitian” like my drink. :(

There is an awesome interview with Tamara on Best Thing Today. Tamara is going to blow up, I can feel it. She is getting a lot of awesome feedback, is really accommodating with the pieces and even got featured on the front page of Etsy last week. I haven’t been taken by something like this, possibly ever. I am going to make pretend I have super powers once I put on the Sybil bracelet. Her goods can be found on Etsy and are totally affordable.

My favorite Cocteau Twins song from their album Treasure is included with this post. I always think there is a song entitled “Isis,” from the essay in Les Filles du Feu, which supposedly inspired the song titles on the album. I think this album correlates with the ethereality of The Clasp of Isis.
